It has been a long 22 years since Arsenal last had their hands on the Premier League trophy. According to ESPN, it was estimated that between 750,000 and one million fans took to the streets of North London to celebrate the long-awaited triumph along the 5.6-mile parade route.

History of Arsenal’s Premier League Title Wins
1. 1997–98
Arsenal won the league under Arsène Wenger with 78 points.
2. 2001–02
The team won both the Premier League and the FA Cup. They remained unbeaten away from home and became the only team in Premier League history to score in every league match of a season.
3. 2003–04
Nicknamed The Invincibles, Arsenal remained unbeaten throughout the season and secured the title with an incredible record of 26 wins and 12 draws, finishing with 90 points.
4. 2025–26
Managed by Mikel Arteta, the team accumulated 85 points and secured the title after defeating West Ham.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Memorable matches during Arsenal’s journey to securing the 2025–26 Premier League title included fixtures against West Ham, Brighton and Manchester United.
The match against West Ham provided a defining VAR (Video Assistant Referee) moment when Callum Wilson’s 95th-minute equaliser was ruled out for a foul on David Raya.
Following the match against Brighton, manager Fabian Hürzeler criticised Arsenal’s approach. “Only one side tried to play football,” Hürzeler told Sky Sports, accusing Arsenal of time-wasting.
However, many Arsenal supporters dismissed the criticism, arguing that their side showed the resilience and pragmatism required to secure a vital 1–0 victory in the title race.

As many football fans know, Arsenal and Manchester United share one of the most iconic rivalries in English football, producing numerous title-deciding and memorable moments over the past three decades. Although Arsenal won their match against Manchester United on 17 August 2025 by a score of 1–0, Manchester United gained revenge on 25 January 2026 with a 3–2 victory.
Some fans may argue that this defeat was one of the many factors that motivated Arsenal’s players to go on and win the Premier League title.
After 22 years of waiting, this historic win is arguably the beginning of greater things to come. Arsenal missed out on the champions league this year. But surely next year they can be aiming to win both championships.
